2009 National Volunteer Leadership Conference

Join us for the 2009 National Volunteer Leadership Conference on San Antonio's world famous River Walk.

This year's conference shifts into action mode and is designed for people like you who are already making a difference for the psoriasis community. Workshops will help you build your skills as a volunteer leader. Whether you're raising funds for research, involved in political advocacy or providing education and support to people with psoriasis, you'll leave this conference with an action plan and tools that will empower you to make a difference.

Cancellations

Cancellations received by July 11, 2009, will receive a 100 percent refund. Cancellations received between July 12 and August 2 will receive a 50 percent refund. Cancellations received after August 2 will not receive a refund.

Dress

Dress casually and please dress in layers, as the air conditioning inside the hotel may fluctuate and be too cold for your comfort. Hotel air conditioning never seems to be "just right." We will try to make things as comfortable for everyone as possible, but please come prepared for these kinds of climate changes.

Please remember the weather in San Antonio in August will be hot and humid. The daily high temperatures can exceed 85 degrees. Please bring light clothing and comfortable walking shoes to explore the city.

Meals

Your conference registration includes a Friday night reception (substantial appetizers), Saturday continental breakfast and seated lunch as well as a Saturday night Mexican fiesta.

Special needs

The Psoriasis Foundation will make advance arrangements for conference attendees who need extra assistance or have special dietary requirements related to a disability. Please notify the Foundation immediately to discuss any special arrangements you may require.

If you are traveling with children

There is a Youth track planned for the conference. These sessions will be staffed and parents are not required to attend with their children. During session breaks, exhibit hall hours, meals and other events, however, parents are fully responsible for their children.
