Youth
For parents

If your child has been diagnosed with psoriasis, you may feel confused by what this means for your family. This is why it helps to educate yourself as much as possible. By doing so, your child can follow your example and effectively cope with psoriasis.

Educate yourself and others

Learn everything you can about the medical facts of psoriasis in children.

If your child is having problems at school with classmates, explain the basics of psoriasis to the teacher or the class. Our publications can help.

How to help your child

Be involved with your children and listen to them. Be honest and age-appropriate when you explain the basics of psoriasis to your children. (Start with our kids and teens sections.)

Give your child an active role in deciding what treatments to try.
