Your State Health Insurance Counseling and Assistance Program (SHIP) provides free counseling for Medicare-related questions and issues. SHIP provides additional information related to Medicare rights and protections, filing an appeal, finding a supplemental program (known as Medigap) and choosing a Medicare health plan.

Medicaid

Individuals with Medicaid may receive coverage for some medical costs including nursing home care, home health care and outpatient prescription drugs not covered by Medicare. Medicaid is run differently in each state, so contact your state office to learn more.
