LeAnn Rimes
Grammy Award-winning artist LeAnn Rimes shared her story about growing up with psoriasis with the U.S. Congress in March 2009. She told legislators, "I know what it's like to worry about treatments and to be teased by peers. I want to support efforts to find a cure so others don't have to experience the negative effects of psoriasis." Rimes returned to Capitol Hill in July 2009 to urge lawmakers to support the Psoriasis and Psoriatic Arthritis Research, Cure, and Care Act (H.R. 930/S. 571) and ask for $1.5 million in funding to start a national psoriasis patient registry at the Centers for Disease Control (CDC). We are honored to join with LeAnn Rimes to advocate for more federal investment in psoriasis research.

- "You are truly sensational as a singer but my appreciation for you as a person soared when I saw what you so selflessly did for psoriasis sufferers everywhere."
— Phillip, Texas
- "Thanks for all you are doing to support those of us who suffer every day and try to help children, like my granddaughter, from suffering as well. We need a cure."
—Ellen, Massachusetts
- Was glad to add "Take Action" by contacting elected officials. I appreciate LeAnn using her notoriety and own experiences to open a lot of eyes!"
— Steve, Florida
