Fair Shake for Psoriasis

Join the "Fair Shake for Psoriasis" campaign!

Do you think it's time for psoriasis to be recognized as the serious disease it is? With the launch of our "Fair Shake for Psoriasis" campaign, we are calling on the psoriasis community to take action on an unprecedented scale. Reach out to your members of Congress to continue the conversation we started in Washington, D.C., during Capitol Hill Day. Talk about how we can work together to combat misconceptions about psoriasis and psoriatic arthritis, and more importantly, what we can do to find a cure.

Members of Congress can start supporting our efforts simply by shaking hands and appearing in a photo. This simple gesture will demonstrate their commitment to our community as well as raise awareness that psoriasis is not contagious. The relationships with elected officials fostered during meetings will build momentum for our public policy priorities, like the Psoriasis and Psoriatic Arthritis Research, Cure, and Care Act (H.R. 1188/S. 1459). The photos, which we will post in our Fair Shake gallery, will help raise the visibility of our psoriasis advocacy efforts.

Arranging a local meeting is easy, and we're here to help at every step along the way. If you plan to participate, contact Alyssa Brown (800.723.9166, ext. 407, or abrown@psoriasis.org) and follow these simple steps:

1. Contact your elected officials' offices in Washington, D.C., and request the contact information for staffers who schedule appointments locally. You can find the contact information for each member of Congress's Washington, D.C., and local offices by entering your ZIP code here:
