Associate Director of New Business

Essential duties and responsibilities:

  • Work with VP of Marketing & Communications and Associate Director of Strategic Alliances to implement national corporate partnership program to meet annual revenue goals 
  • Oversee a portfolio of non-pharma corporate partners and prospects, taking primary responsibility for cultivation and stewardship
  • Help identify new corporate funding opportunities
  • Regularly monitor and prepare monthly reports relevant to financial progress, impact and stewardship
  • Manage NPF Seal of Recognition program
  • Propose and write corporate grant, sponsorship, and partnership proposals
  • Solicit new national and regional sponsors for NPF athletic and health events
  • Track invoicing and payments for corporate giving, sponsorship and advertising
  • Maintain corporate records in Salesforce database
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications / Skills

  • BS/BA or equivalent
  • Five or more years of relevant experience in corporate development/fundraising
  • Experience in working with volunteers
  • Experience in overseeing budgets and grant writing
  • Able to establish priorities, and develop effective working relationships
  • Good time management skills and can meet deadlines under pressure
  • Excellent interpersonal, oral and written communication skills
  • Strong marketing and negotiation skills
  • Highly organized, analytical, and possesses strong implementation/tactical skills
  • Flexibility to travel

Organizational Structure and Relationships

The Associate Director of New Business reports to the Vice President of Marketing & Communications and works collaboratively with all departments.
