Volunteer > Community Divisions
Community Divisions are forming now!
The goal: A cure.
The path: Engage local volunteers and advocates around the country in education, awareness and fundraising.
Join our nationwide network of psoriasis activists organized through the National Psoriasis Foundation's new community divisions. Work with locally-based Foundation staff to mobilize volunteer and financial support for the Foundation's mission and strategic plan goals.
A Community Division is a non-governance, volunteer-led group organized by the National Psoriasis Foundation to advance the Foundation's mission at the community level. To accomplish this task, divisions focus on the three Rs:
1. Raise funds to support psoriatic disease research;
2. Reach people through implementation of community advocacy and education programs;
3. Recruit and develop volunteers as partners in our overall mission.
Additionally, relationships are recognized as critical to the success of the above three R's.
Community divisions are about getting skilled and passionate volunteers on the ground to mobilize resources toward a cure for psoriasis by:
- Planning educational events;
- Developing fundraising programs;
- Recruiting grassroots advocates;
- Helping with marketing and public relations.

About the Foundation
Founded in 1966, the National Psoriasis Foundation is the world's leading charitable funder of psoriatic disease research, and the nation's leading psoriasis patient advocacy organization for people living with psoriasis and psoriatic arthritis. The Foundation is governed by a volunteer Board of Trustees.
The mission of the organization is to find a cure for psoriasis and psoriatic arthritis and to eliminate their devastating effects through research, advocacy and education. To fulfill this mission, the NPF funds research, advocates for improved patient access to care, and provides information and other services to people with psoriatic disease, their families, health care professionals, and the public.
