Foundation birthday bash and exhibit hall opening (Event center)
It's time to celebrate! This year's conference kicks off with our fun-filled 40th Birthday Bash celebrating four decades of the Psoriasis Foundation's work in education, advocacy, and research. Meet new people, mingle with old friends, dance until you drop and top it all off with a slice of cake. This event also marks your first opportunity to visit the exhibit hall and meet exhibitors from the dermatology field. Hors d'oeuvres and a no-host bar will be available.
Speaker: Randy Beranek
Opening session — Saturday, 8:30-10 a.m.
Together in Change (Great hall north)
The Psoriasis Foundation has made some big changes-from the implementation of our new vision for active wellness to a fresh face on the Internet-and you've been there all the way. During the opening session, you'll hear more about how we are all Together in Change. Additionally, you'll learn how to initiate personal change that leads to a healthy body and mind, applaud the 2008 Volunteer of the, Year and receive a surprise message from a very special guest.
Speakers: Dale A. White, Randy Beranek
Luncheon session — Saturday, 11:30 a.m.-1:30 p.m.
Research: The changes ahead (Great hall north)
Our luncheon session will answer the who, what, and where of psoriasis
research. Foundation Director of Research Bruce Bebo, Jr., Ph.D., will explain the nitty-gritty of T-cells, cytokines and more. You'll also see the faces behind psoriasis research and learn about new drugs that will soon be making headlines.
