View Full Version : A SENATOR RESPONDED!

i came home to a letter from Senator Hillary Clinton.
and to think, i was just getting ready to pick up the pace with spamming their offices :D
it was a very general letter, but still, a response!
i'm quite surprised that she was first to respond. I'd think my representative would have gotten back first. oh well.
why i'm posting this in a separate thread is so if anyone thinks that the effort is wasted, it clearly isn't a response [general or not] means that SOMEONE read it. someone heard what i was trying to say, and thats one more person that now knows about what they may not have yet heard.
HAPPY WRITING TO ALL! :D

HooRay!!! That's Awesome. I hope many many more letters are read and that someone will think that it's a cause worth pursuing.

i came home to a letter from Senator Hillary Clinton.
I THINK THAT WOULD BE MY WORST NIGHTMARE. I guess a letter would be better than having her show up at my house.
Just kidding Ali, this is great, and should make you feel good about your volunteer efforts! Just disregard my previous partisan bantor.

I also recieved a letter from Sen Joe Lieberman today and IT was a LONG email... I will post it on here later tonight.. It was nice that I didnt have to wait a long time for a response. All in all he seems to be very familiar with psoriasis and PA ...... which is great.. I am going to contact his office in Washington tomorrow!!!

I wasn't sure what CHD was until I read links that people posted in these message boards. I won't be able to make it to D.C. due to work schedule & lack of money, but I will be sure to write a letter to both the Missouri House & Senate!!!
I'll also be checking for that sample letter b/c I'm not so good at expressing myself to-the-point.
Thanks for the info.

I get repsonse letters all the time too... however they're written very well... no promises, lots of sympathy, then some blurb in what I like to call "nonsensical senatorical vagueness language" that has lots of stats and stuff to throw you off and make you think they're actually doing something positive, when really they just copied something out of a medical dictionary... that's when I hit the bottle... :)

Steve, that's the kind of responses I have always gotten.
"nonsensical senatorical vagueness language"
That is, until they want money!

Please send me copies of any correspondence you recieve from any congressional office. I need this information to help identify what potential friends we may have on Capitol Hill. Who knows, perhaps something in one of these letters will help us find our congressional "Champion"?
Even if you receive a letter or email that's not specific to psoriasis/psoriatic arthritis, please pass it along to me.
