Petition for Additional Support

There is a group of us who have been working behind the scenes to try and enhance our impact at Capitol Hill Day. One of our efforts is a Petition to:

•Direct the National Institutes of Health to increase the federal commitment to research on psoriasis and psoriatic arthritis

•Increase funding to the National Institutes of Health

•Include the full range of psoriasis and psoriatic arthritis treatment options in the Medicare Prescription Drug Benefit that begins on January 1, 2006

Our time line for collecting the signatures is aggressive. Mitch is away this week, but upon his return he will give the dates when he needs to have the signed petitions returned.

Please feel free to send a private message including your e-mail address to any of the members listed below. They will be more then happy to send you a copy of the Petition, which you can print out to collect signatures.

Everyone’s support in this initiative is needed and very much appreciated!

I have never done this before. Does this mean we get signatures from other people--not just people with P?

Gosh, my whole family will sign-if I can find them!!!! That would be about 60, more if all could write-a few preschoolers!

or the health food store....I'm always signing petitions they have on their table for vitamins or things.Also the drugstore where you pick up supplies.

Mitch (rosy3939) is out of town this week, and is coordinating these efforts, so we will get the due date posted by the end of the week when he returns. Glad to see everyone is so receptive to the idea! :)

I think that a great idea even if the petitions come in a tad "late" I don't think that is too much of an issue. The more signatures the "betta"

Bumping this up. This is to important and very disapointed in the number of responses for people will to get signatures. If we all jst got the signatures from freinds and family this would be a sucess.

Come on people let help ourselves. Are we that jaded to believe we can't help ourselves?

Are we that selfish to only care about our own suffering and not will to help each other?

Do you really believe this can't help?

Can't we check our ego's and help each other?

I know what we can accomplish together, can't you spend a few hours collecting signatures?

I have faith in these boards and the people who reside here. Both friends and those I have disagreed with before. We are a familyy. We fight and get mad at each other but we have to be there one another.

OK, folks, I have 8 people (plus myself) circulating petitions so far. I know there are more of you out there who can help us with this. Even if you only get friends and family members, think how many that would be if we all worked on this! Please contact me or any of the others listed above on this thread with your email address, and we'll be happy to get you a copy of the petition, as well as instructions on circulating it. We can do this together! :D
