I would like to hear from you about the way the color of your P. affected skin has changed during different stages - from the beginning of the disease until you have cleared.

I think this may help us figure out how far we are from clearing.

My skin was intense red at the beginning. I've been using some creams for the past two weeks and eventually the skin became brownish. Do you think the treatment is working or is it in vane?

My skin at the moment is red, itchy and flakey. My redness has never gone away. Some days it just down right hurts. Nothing I have tried has helped, but I haven't given up hope yet. I'm staying away from coritzone...just keeping it moist

My skin started out bright red, then turned orangish. My hands are now pinkish but my feet are still reddish/orange. Actually looking at my hands it's about 1/2 pink and the rest is normal flesh color.

I started out red-flakey-lumpy-itchy then progressed to just red but flat, no flakes and no itch. Then some areas became hypopigmented, meaning that they are paler than my normal color. I am just a splotchy mess!

My skin starts out real red and raised. Then it's still red but not as raised. Then it turns pink. Now I'm pretty clear except for a few spots here and there. My skin has white patches all over my legs. They have been there since the first of the year. My arms have went back to normal skin. I live in Florida and the sun seems to help the white patches go away.

hi , i had a bad time with the p. I landed in the hospital for 4days. during that time I was like a Peanut Brittol ready to crack, my body temp was very low I was a mess with a smile I guess cause this is all very new to me. I was just dia. about 3 months ago with this.. any way my skin went from blisters, red, all over my body from top to bottom they did body wraps with mositurers now I went to Dr. and shes very pleased my skin is soft, red, and nails are ok but I question why my body is brown, she said thats from where all the plaques were and it will take about a year to get back to normal I do use a topical cream like vasoline with steorids. that Im to taper off with. and I am on Methotaxic 7 mg. a week with follow up blood test every week till shes satisfied. which every thing has been ok..so my friend much luck to you and in parts my legs are red....hope NO one has to go thru this what I just went thrue ...Much Blessings and Luck Jan (cookie_99)
