View Full Version : Enbrel not working??

Recently my joints have been bothering me, stiff and sore. No swollen anywhere yet, extreme uncomfortable ness in the right shoulder blade on my back, both of my feet and toes and elbows down to all my fingers hurts. Nothing extreme, just enough there to make you really really uncomfortable and move a lot slower than you care to.
As far as Skin goes, P is making a small come back. Lower legs are covered in small patches and few itches here and there and I can find small pink spots on my face and scalp.
My history with using Enbrel started about 2 years ago. First time it was 25 mg twice a week. Started seeing great result in about 3 month. Almost all clear and remain almost all clear for about a year. Went off enbrel for about 90 days and came back with the 50 mg shot once a week. Been doing that since early this March. Still not had see any good result like I did the first time I injected enbrel.
Now the questions are. Does it lose its effect ness over time? As in do I need to increase my dosage? Or does it work better for some people doing the 25 mg twice a week over the 50 mg once a week. Also want to know if the stop of enbrel for 90 days plays any sorts of factor?
Thanks for any info you guys can share.

PS. Life is pretty normal. No horrible stress or any major events took place for a while now. Health other than the PA has been good. Some stomach issue with heartburn and acid reflex. Other than that all is top notch.

Thank you so much Rich. I was afraid that would happen. It's always tiral and error to find a new treatment that would work for me and getting the insurance to approve it it's another pain.

Hope you are doing ok there Rich. I know Robin just filed the paper. hang in there.

Take good care of yourself.

Jerry
