Greetings. I have PA, and have been trying the alternative natural route the last 40 some days. No MTX, no celebrex, and no tylenol, after being on it for about 2 years.
Is there anything new for treating psoriasis on the fingernails?? Several of my nails are fairly disgusting, and I find myself hiding the hands at meals with clients, and prospective clients.
Also, my fingers are getting very stiff, and only warm up around noon allowing my to get on the computer with any speed. Are there any recommendations as to treatments for the fingers specifically to help the stiffness??
I am currently taking astaxthin, (or similar), noni extract, was taking cat's claw.
Thanks for any suggestions or input.

Are you taking omega 3's?
Milk Thistle
Curcumin or turmeric?
If not research those. Are you seeing a natureopath, or someone who can monitor you? This is hard by yourself, you'll want to develop your support team.
Have you read 'Healing Psoriasis' by John Pagano? Those are just starters, there is lots more for you to do. Read up on Glyconutrients.
Read through the archives here, for 1/2 hour every day!

I woke up about a month ago with left hot and swollen, sore knee and my right, swollen and hot, sore thumb...never had anything like it before.....
I went to the Vitamin Shoppe and as I said in another post ,,,,read every ingredient in the arthritis section....found the Twinlabs glucosamine, MSM, chondrotin and astaxathin...started taking two tabs three times a day...that did the trick for the swelling....the pain took a little longer....maybe a week....I still take them everyday and I added extra astaxathin........if I skip a day I can tell ...I start to ache......
I also take spirulin, chlorella. milk thistle, extra MSM, Bvitamins. cod liver oil for EFA's and vit A and D.....hmmmm! wonder if I forgot anything :D

Oh yeah! I'm going to be starting the glyconutrients soon...there is a thread on here if you are interested in reading about them................

charley....I don't know too much about the fingernail P....why don't you try soaking them in pure aloe vera gel?....you would have to get a plant and strip a leaf or maybe half a leaf and soak them somehow....if you sliced it down the center (the half leaf) you would have two parts....dig the nails into each piece and hold them there while you watch tv....do it every night for at least a week and see if there is a change! I have read that the plant is the freshest, most potent source for healing....but maybe it would be more practical to get aloe vera gel from the health store (Lily of the Desert is good)
