mouth sores??

:confused: :confused: Hello, everyone..I was wondering if anyone can tell me if they get mouth sores from taking MTX and Diclofenac and I feel bloated lately, like retaining water on my hands and stomach. I have been on MTX for about 14 weeks now and seen great improvements but just recently I have experienced mouth sores and bloating. Any suggestions????? ;)

Hi. I started getting mouth sores soon after I began taking mtx pills only. The derm said don't worry, but then after I started getting a sort of burning feeling in my stomach, the derm switched me to mtx injections once a week. No more burning stomach and no more mouth sores. Never got any bloating though.

Are you taking folic acid with the MTX? I know there are some mixed reviews about whether or not to take folic acid and MTX, but the folic acid is supposed to reduce the mouth sores side effect. I take both MTX and folic acid and have not had any problems yet.

Aren't they awful. They make you feel horrible all the time. I only got them when I put my dose up to 10mg. When I am on 7.5 mg I don't really get any. I take 5 mg of folic very week as well. I have also had funny tummy pains and I am not sure if they are caused by the MTX.

Sunnymay on here who is married to a dentist always recommends a toothpaste called Rembrandt. She says that it really helps.
