I used grapefruit seed extract for about 4 months and I felt that it was very helpful.

I've also always wondered if I could take acidophilus at the same time as a natural anti-biotic. This article answers lots of questions, and sheds new light on a remarkable non-food.

The other great thing about GSE, is that we can take it indefinitely and not grow immune to it.

Some meds cannot be mixed with grapefruit anything. Make sure you cross reference this with your meds. (Especially if they are pill form, or are a heart med) I have found out that I cannot have any type of grapefruit juice, seed, peelings, or anything with my meds. a.

I went to google and put in "GRAPESEED EXTRACT INTERACTIONS MEDICINES"
and got this site which I cached for easier findings of subject!

Taking GRAPEFRUIT SEED EXTRACT and CYCLOSPORINE may result in large amounts of cyclosporine in your blood, which may cause more side effects of cyclosporine than usual.

I don't think too many people on this site (alternatives) have to worry about any interaction with meds unless they are on them!

However anything recommended here is still the responsibility of each individual to check it out before taking or trying something....anyone can be allergic to various substances......or have an interaction from meds you may be on........"ONE PERSONS MEAT IS ANOTHER PERSONS POISON"

Dulane! that is a great site for finding out everything I always wanted to know about GFE :p I have had the extract and knew it was good for things...just didn't know what all...
One thing they did say was to put a few drops in shampoo for dandruff....I think I am going to try a final rinse with it and see how it goes.....
I just took my probiotic so as they said I shall take a drink of the GFE in water a little later to clear out any fungus growing around :D (they recommended a few hours between the two)

Just so every one knows,,,you can't take it if you're taking Lipitor. When I was on Lipitor, there was a warning on my bottle.
Thanks to fish oil and flax oil,,,I don't need Lipitor to control my cholesterol. :) It stays lower now than with Lipitor.
