Anyone ever heard of or taken pentoxifylline? My doc (MD with a natural medicine focus) encouraged me to look into it (in combination with nettle extract). It is prescribed for reducing blood viscosity, but is also known to help with all kinds of inflammatory conditions. It's a Tumor necrosis factor-α (TNF-alpha) inhibitor, much like Enbrel is (from what I understand, which isn't much as far as drug therapies go), but is MUCH less expensive. It is oral, too. I don't know how the side effects or long term usage (if that is even allowed) compares to Enbrel, though. There is some research out there on it's effects on psoriasis that look positive.
Here are some links, but see what you find, too. Let me know what you think.
