Hi everyone,
After a bad experience with using the P drug dovonex, I decide to try and work out a safer route of treatment.
After lots of trial and error I settled on a few specific things which I think have really helped my health and my P.
Two of the main components of the nutritional side of the program are protein powder and Shark cartilage capsules, amongst other things.

Reading a magazine the other day I saw a story about a guy who lost a lot of skin in a gas explosion.
He had to have it replaced with an artificial skin base called Integra, heres a link -

Anyway I was really suprised to see that this stuff is made from...wait for it....Shark cartilage and protein!!

I know it's not quite the same, as I take these things orally and the Integra is for topical skin base replacement but it's definitely in the same ball park.
I really think the link is worth reading, I stuck with these products when lots of others didn't make the cut as I was sure they had a positive effect on the P, maybe it wasn't wishful thinking after all?

All the best, FrankLee :)

Makes me think of the armadillo counter poison pills. Instead of shark cartilage, I guess some supplements are made with shrimp tail powder. It is synonamous with one of those ingredients in chonroitin, glucosamine...MSM, whatever.

It is printed on the label somewhere if so (shellfish parts). The ingredient that they are going after is chitan. Helps skin and joints.

I'm fond of kombucha tea. I wind up with extra mushrooms all the time. I figure that if I ever have a large burn again, I will put one of those big flat mushrooms on the burn til I get it looked at. They look like living skin tissue to me.

I'll let you know how it helps, IF I ever get one of those nasty burns again. The kombucha shrooms live in the fridge for ever!
