View Full Version : NOW HAVE SLIPPERY ELM AND AMERICAN SAFFRON -HAVE A QUESTION PLS HELP

HI EVERYONE. JUST WWONDERING IF THERE IS ANY INTERRACTION BETWEEN HIGH BLOOD PRESSURE AND TAKING THE SLIPPERY ELM AND AMERICAN SAFFRON. I MEAN THE MEDS, ATENOLOL AND NORVASC. I DONT KNOW IF THESE HAVE ANY INTERRACTIONS. I SHOULD HAVE THOUGHT OF IT BEFORE BUT I HOPE NOT.

DO I DRINK ONE CUP OF TEA A DAY? AND I WILL BUY A TEABALL AND TEAPOT FOR IT I GUESS.
WITH THE SLIPPERY ELM, IS IT COLD WATER I PUT ONE TEASPOON INTO? OR DO I PUT MORE OR INTO HOT WATER?
AND IF I HAVE EVENING PRIMROSE, FISH OIL COQ10 AND MULTIVITAMIN, AND FLAXSEED OIL ANY INTERRACTION WITH ANYTHING? I SHOULD HAVE FOUND OUT BEFORE. BUT HOPEFULLY IT WILL BE OKAY.

I KNOW EVEN THINGS MADE OF FLOWERS LIKE DIGITALIS, ETC. CAN HAVE EFFECTS.
I HOPE THIS WORKS WHEN I USE IT.
JUST WANT TO KNOW AMOUNTS, AND IF IT IS OKAY WITH ALL THE OTHER THINGS, AND MEDS.
IF ANYONE CAN HELP I WOULD APPRECIATE IT. I HATE TAKING MEDS, BUT MY BP WAS SO HIGH, THERE WAS NO RECOURSE FOR THIS.

I searched for side effects with the combo of high blood pressure and slippery elm and did find one instance where they said to check with your doctor ...here is the link.....

HI SALLY: I SHOULD HAVE LOOKED INTO THIS BEFORE I PURCHASED IT. I WONDER IF THE AMERICAN SAFFRON TEA WILL HURT NOW. YOU KNOW IT SEEMS SOME DOCTORS ARE NOT FAMILY WITH THIS STUFF. TRADITIONAL DOCTORS.
I WILL ASK THE PHARMACIST. I DONT EVEN KNOW IF HE KNOWS. NOW I DONT KNOW WHAT TO DO.

I have HBP and take the SE. Can you check your BP at home? I have a little machine and check mine several times a week.

Yes, I have a machine. I also checked with interractions of bp medicine online, it didnt say slippery elm interracted with atenolol or norvasc. so thats good.
what meds do you take for the bp anyway?
I think I will just go for it and start the elm tomorrow. I have it from Baar. and also will do the saffron, just gotta get a teaballer and pot!

I take Benicar and Zestoretic. I take my BP 3-4 times a week and it stays down.
