Has anybody ever done this? If so, is it effective? This stuff is from the dead sea and we know that's good for psoriasis. Anybody know anything about this type of treatment? Thanks.

I sometimes use dead sea salts I bought on ebay. I also sometimes use other products with dead sea stuff in them. Mavena comes to mind.

Many have attempted to replicate the effects of the dead sea, however, I think that there is no substitue for the "dead sea" itself.

Hopefully someone whos been there like gumby will come and agree with me.

I'm not talking about salts.

You go in and these people put it on your body and rub it in. Kinda like a massage except it's with these dead sea treatments.

I was going to say....buy the dead sea salts and give your self (or signicant other) might give you a massage! It would be a heck of a lot cheaper...you can get a 55lb bag for $96 I got mine several years ago...it lasts a long time! plus you can use it in the tub.

Thanks for the info. However, I have salts of my own. I use them. I haven't in a while, but I've used them.

I just thought it might be a good idea and I'm sure people with psoriasis go to that place for the dead sea treatment. I bet the employees there really work in the cream or dead sea treatment into your skin.

OK, I see what you are getting at here. I still think that my initial statement holds true, however, I won't necessarily discredit their service. Personally I've found that baths and super moisturization have been extremely beneficial to my skin. I wouldn't doubt that skin care like this can be helpful...as helpful as the dead sea? doubtful. combine it with light treatments and you might have a very effective treatment. Just my opinion.

Nothing like the Dead sea "real time".
The sun is the biggie factor there. go up to the solarium high on the roof. its the sun which is "good sun" because of the filtering out factor being so low below sea level. (lowest point on earth)
combo of the floating in the sea, and the solarium sun , cooking up a few hours every day and man it is HOT!!!!!!
Place is Nirvana. nothing like it. scenically it is what paradise is made of.
The dead sea products are good but nothing like the combination of the sun there and the waters.
And you go into remission for a LONG time.

bought back some amazing cream moisturizers to use from there.

Dead Sea is the place!!

There is not another place on earth like the Dead Sea area.

I have just got back from another trip and had the same fantastic results. It is 99.9% the unique sunshine that does the trick, I have not put as much as a big toe in the Dead Sea or applied anything other than olive oil for years and I still always clear.

One more point to one of the previous posts, the sunshine works so well but not because it is the lowest point on earth. It is because the sun is filtered by the the unique haze caused by the evaporation of the sea. This haze only hangs over the Dead Sea and if you drive just a few miles away the sun returns "to normal".

The haze filters out most of the harmful rays that cause burning, cancer and premature ageing thus allowing prolonged exposure to the sun in nothing more than oil.

Israelis from towns only a half hour car ride away make the trip to the Dead Sea to treat their p.
