I had psoriasis VERY bad on my feet. Then it went to the palms of my hands. I was seen by three different doctors - the last dermotologist prescribing Dovonex and a steroid cream (sounds like Calcip or ??) anyway...

The combo of the creams (I had to put on both creams twice a day which was 6:00 - 12:00 - 6:00 - 12:00) was making my hands and feet worse, I swear! My hands were cracking and bleeding, same as my feet. I was in such pain I would wake up during the night from the throbbing.

I had been putting Vaseline on my hands, soaking my hands/feet in mineral oil - I tried EVERYTHING to get moisture into my hands and feet - NOTHING worked. I wore booties, I wore gloves. NOthing would keep moisture in my hands or feet. My hands were red, dry, cracked with cuts and bleeding.

THEN I heard about Aloe Vera Gel! I want to tell everyone! Guess what - it worked for me. I just bought it from a drug store, over the counter, no name brand.

My hands are still red but after only 5 days of using the gel - I have relief! For real! Spots on my hands go brown immediately and just flake off - it is unreal.

Anyone with this problem - believe me - give it a try. It sure worked for me. I believe the combo creams that I was prescribed actually made my hands worse. I see my dermatologist on Nov 22nd and I can't wait for her to see the change in my hands and feet!

hi senzee, thats so good to hear you found something that helps your p. my ex had pustular p. on her hands and feet.i felt so bad for her.she'd wake me up in the night by scratching her feet.she'd scratch them so much they'd bleed.a friend of mine told me about something else that works good for your kind of p. its called hemp oil.i was recomended to try it by her,but i have tried other things for pustular p. with no results.so i am not too quick to try alot of things right away, but have tried alot.i hope the aloe gel continues to work for you and clears your p. up for good.jamey

I have a bottle of aloe vera gel sitting in the cabinet, waiting for the next sunburn but have never thought to try it on my psoriasis. Does it help with just the flaking or have there been places that have disappeared?
