Hi all: am being patient drinking teas, and the teas prevented new outbreaks of red I think. am being very good about taking them.
question is the hypopigmentation is all over the place. I wonder if this will become 'REAL SKIN' again. Im getting worried.
I am not kidding when I say I look like a member of the "white spotted leopard family"
anyone who had white spots, did yours go away? after how long?
its so weird.
I actually think a number of yrs ago the sun darkened my spots and some of them became dark.
now, I wonder if this is from the strep because it was very red and horrible before they became white even though I was in the sun. sun used to work really great for me.
Love my teas and am counting and hoping they will prevent any reds from coming in BUT WHEN WILL MY WHITE TURN TO SKIN???I AM NOT KIDDING I HAVE IT ON 95% OF MY BODY.

Joyce were these P spots and then they healed?...when mine went away it took several months...the brown spots took longer...I don't know what to tell you....are you sure it is not vitilgo or some other disorder? Have you been to a Dr. about it?

Hi Joyce,
Since I don't have the same kind of p that you have,,,,,I can only tell you what I have read. Others say your skin will get back to normal. It seems the white is a sign of healing. It takes time.
I would say,,,keep doing what you're doing,,,the teas and whatever else you have been doing. Our skin did not get bad overnight and it will not clear overnight.
I have heard that a make-up called DermaBlend is a good coverup.
I'm glad you're better.

Joyce,
I recently developed Rosacea and decided to look at DermaBlend. They have a body coverup.
At the bottom of the page, click on US, then Tips from Pros. I think some one said this is sold at JC Penney.

HEY----you guys,,,they have stuff for men too! I know some of you read here,,,so,, check it out!

thanks for being helpful grannyfranny....doctor didnt say it was vilitigo. it was psoriasis before it became white. its so strange but It just looks like all the pigment went out. of course its better than being itchy! but...I do hope these go away! It is very freaky. and I had never had psoriasis where this happened before. but it was a terrible all over outbreak 2 months ago when I had strep and tons of stress due to a family situation.
than within a few days of taking the antibiotic bamm! all over the place psoriasis and itching like ants crawling all over my body.
I read about the teas...the white started to come somewhat before the teas, better after the teas. and Im still drinking them.
I hope these whites go away. I feel so unpigmented!!

Joyce did I ever mention this site for getting a better price? I buy 4 at a time and since the AS lasts longer than the SE it is a better deal.

Many people ask about white spots. If the P is really subsiding, the white spots should flatten out and disappear in a couple months.
Of course the good news is that white spots are better than angry red skin.
You might consider tanning. Just once a week or so. Not more than 10 minutes to start tho. Get the cheapest tanning bed at the salon, they work best for the 'burn-factor' of renewing surface skin.

what about using my small uvb (have to bend down to color myself) machine. got it from a friend from our temple. she had p's and didnt want it anymore.
anyway, was afraid to color myself or do anything. just thought I leave it alone. but if its okay to give it a little color, I would do it. I wasnt sure I should.

Hello,
In August 05, I gave to my daughter (Hanna, 5,5 years, with gp after a strep infection) a homeopathic solution = CALC SULPH.
The day after all her spots were white (hypopigmentation or leopard!)
Days after, I was very afraid about it ... no reversible....what I have done!!
but by grace of God, it is ok now (November 05) and the difference of colour (between previous spot and safe skin) is very small.
Note that the skin of Hanna was/is very very sensible (even with white spots).
We were in Dead sea 10 days in October. Before Dead sea, the spots were already white and after dead sea they were a little bit "less white".
But when we go back, we continued to go to beach and to expose (with automn sun) and I think that it helped too. or The dead sea effects continued to work on her skin.
(Hanna has still a lesion behind her ear (not white!))
****
When I was in dead sea, I have seen a woman and her son with white spots (exactly like my daughter).
I asked to the woman what is it ? ( I was sure that it was gp!)
The women answered me that it is a: "sun fungus".
she says that it comes and go back....
I asked if it was red before...
she said me NO... only white.
(it was the second time that I heared about "sun fungus" (in Israel).)
Be patient and feel well,
Sophie

Hi: thank you for your reply. I was in the dead sea last year too. my daughter lives there with her husband and my husband is Israeli.
anyway, I had a strep infection and when I took the antibiotic, it turned white, dont know if it was the antibiotic or it would have turned white anyway. and I am also a leopard. a white leopard.
never heard of a sun fungus. but I do have a fungus on my toes. (Im a mess!)
but it could be worse, so Im not complaining :D
as long as there is hope that it will become regular "skin" I will be happy.
thanks, Joyce :)
