OTC Meds Cause Flare?

I have a cold....not strep and was taking Nyquil for my cough and congestion. Lately my guttate spots that felt like goose bumbs and skin color have gotten larger and turned bright red...I had a hard time sleeping last night due to my cough and maybe took too much cough syrup in addition to the nyquil. Well I got out of the shower this morning and it looks like I am breaking out all over my shins, in new places that didn't have it before?

Anyone have this happen....should I get off the otc meds?

Any help would be greatly appreciated!!

I haven't noticed flare ups on Nyquil (spent a week on it about 2 weeks ago), but I HAVE noticed flares when I'm not getting enough sleep.
