I have severe P on about 80 % of my body. I am currently treating with Enbrel, and have had a very delightfully mild holiday season. Just the other day I commented on how I believed my few remaining stubborn patches appeared to be disappearing.
About 48 hours ago, I was involved in a very serious car accident. I totalled my car, and the Driver and Passenger airbags both deployed. No one else was injurred or hurt.
As a precaution, I went to the emergency room (I got a ride from my mom, not the ambulance.) They took x-rays and it seems that I don't have any broken bones, only some bruises from the seat belt and air bags. He gave me a perscription for generic vicadin for the pain and told me to stay off my feet for a few days. Today I am turning red all over my whole body. My patches, which were almost clear have turned white and dry. I was told that this might be a side effect of the vicodin, but how do I know if I am having a reaction or a flare up? I have had flares this severe in the past. Has anyone experienced this before?
Is there a chance that it was the X-rays that did it?? I notice I once had a flare after taking my PA x-rays.
Thanks,
Jeff
