new to board, have p for 12years

I have used most creams with no sucess. Tried embrel but I couldnt stay on it due to side effects. Was put on rativa, it worked well. Had no side effects just hard to stay on the med when i ws traveling alot. Now the doc wants me to try Humira. So my question is has anybody tried it? Did it work? Any side effects?

Welcome to the boards. Sorry to hear about your psoriasis but I'm glad you have posted here. There is alot of knowledge here and a great group of people who all can understand how you are feeling.

I wanted to let you know that I've been on Humira since 2003 November. I've been tking part in a clincial trial study and was so pleased to hear Humira had been approved of by the FDA for psoriatic arthritis on October 4, 2005.

I have both psoriasis and psoriatic arthritis. I have found that Humira is a great drug for my pa. I had over 98 joints affected and have now goine down to 36 joints affected. I found that all the time I've been on Humira I didn't get any new plaques until just this past fall and then only a few. There are alot of people now on Humira and seen to have alot of luck. A friend of mine's son had just been put on it and has started to see improvement in both his p and pa.
