I have not posted in awhile. Lately I do not even want to get out of bed Iam so tired and it seems in pain 24/7. Iam suppose to start Humira Monday I can't wait!!
My question is this my forehead by my eyebrows are killing me. I had celluitis about a month ago on my right brow bone. I had 2 rounds of antibiotics that made the swelling go down and there is no reddness.
Are there ligamnets or anything there that PA can affect? Did anyone else ever have anything like this?

Smart, Rich! But no, I haven't experienced pain in the brow area, although it certainly seems possible.
My weird pain is pain that seems to be behind and below the ear, sometimes radiating into the neck - I haven't been able to sleep on that side for months because of the pain, and nothing has relieved it UNTIL the Mtx started helping my joint pain two days ago, I notice this pain is nearly gone, too. !!! huh, and I thought maybe I had fluid deep within the ear....what the heck is it?! Stymied... but maybe that's tendon pain also? And I know sometimes pain radiates so it isn't felt exactly where the cause exists, if that makes any sense
Good luck. Hope you get some answers - Tani

Oh my God I started getting that also it is like someome is stabbing you in the jaw area. I never know if what is happening, is related to PA and sometimes I think the Doctor's are not sure either. I get more info from here .

HI MARINEMOM,
YOUR POST JUMPED OUT AT ME CAUSE EYE ISSUES ARE ONE OF MY BIGGEST CONCERNS WITH THIS DISEASE . MORE SPECIFICALLY, ALONG WITH MILD P AND MODERATE PA ,I SUFFER FROM ACUTE AND CHRONIC UVEITIS. SOOOOO, MY NEXT QUESTION IS: ARE YOUR EYES RED, TIRED,BURNING? DOES IT FEEL LIKE A "BROW-ACHE"? I REMEMBER TRYING TO DESCRIBE THE SENSATION TO MY OPHTHAMOLOGIST AND I TOLD HIM THAT IT FELT LIKE A BALL WAS TRYING TO PUSH OUT FROM BEHIND MY BROW. VERY WEIRD...EVEN IF YOU DON'T HAVE PAIN SPECIFIC TO THE EYEBALL ITSELF, I HIGHLY RECOMMEND THAT YOU GET AN APPOINTMENT WITH AN OPHTHAMOLOGIST THAT SPECIALIZES IN RHEUMY STUFF AND THE EYES. RECURENT AND UNTREATED UVEITIS CAN CAUSE PERMANENT BLINDNESS, SO BE AGGRESSIVE. GOOD LUCK

My my sincere suggestion is that TOMORROW you make an appt with a board certified Ophthamolgist and tell him of your autoimmune history and that you want to get checked for Uvetitis. The sooner the diagnosis and treatment, the better the prognosis. I'd love to hear from all of you other folks that have had eye involvement. Fortunately there are only 3-8% (?) of folks with P/PA have the eye involvement. And it is VERY serious, in that not only is it very painful, but the scarring can cause permanent vision loss.I wish you luck. God Bless and keep me posted.
Susan
