Hi all,
I am starting this thread to see how many of us PPP sufferers have other ailments that involve pain. I just find it coincidental that many have a condition that is painful that maybe they had before the ppp started. It seems that there is a link to PPP and people that are dealing with other things that involve chronic pain for them. They say that ppp is something to do with the immune system and I am wondering if chronic pain itself which places stress on us in return triggers the immune system to get out of whack. My reason being that I started with painful situations that were ongoing and then I broke out with ppp on my feet first and then my hands. My hands stay under control mostly but my feet just dont seem to let up, and I am dealing with some intense back pain on a daily basis. My backpain started over four years ago and then I had some intestional issues and then I got the ppp.My intestional issues are solved for the most part but my back is worse than ever and my ppp is flairing on a regular basis without a relief period. My sister who also had back surgery about 7 months ago and has a disc again paining her , just recently broke out with ppp and she never had it before either.Maybe there is no connection but I thought I would start a thread to just see how many of us have similiar situations. I will not be able to post for a few weeks since I am going in on Monday morning for back surgery but as soon as I can I will be back.

Thanks Rich. I am heading to Lancaster Pa for my surgery so hopefully that is good. My family doctor didnt want me to go to any docs in my local area.I am supposedly hooked up with one of the best back surgeons in Pa. Sure would be nice if they could treat my feet while I am there and give me something that works, although it seems most treatments for ppp have serious side effects that I just am not willing to try. I have enough problems at this time and dont need to add anymore to it. I think I will ask my surgeon about pain and ppp and see what his opinion is on it.One never knows maybe he has other patients dealing with the same.I will for sure post any suggestions that I get.Hopefully talk to you all real soon.

My first breakout was right after I had my first baby(which was painful). I have had many other painful problems since then, Kidney stones, gallbladder,IBS,Pa, migraines, and other small problems. I think you are on to something. It sounds like a real possibility.
