Anyone get a flushed face?

When I first developed symptoms of my "lupus like" CTD my cheeks were very pink. It went away with my meds. Now I have it back, but worse at times. DH will look at me and just say go look at your face and my cheeks will be really red and a little bumpy. THen in an hour it could be gone. ANyone else?

I have P and PA, and occasionally my face gets "flushed"...although it hasn't happened much since I've been on Enbrel (6 months). I just wrote it off to the cocktail of meds I'm on at any given time. Interesting.

I chalk mine up to the prednisone... do you take that or does it happen after you take certain meds?
Do you have systemic lupus (not sure what CTD means...)?
I also sweat periodically, espcially when at higher doses of steroids, but never any bumps...

I'm not on pred. now...just mtx and Enbrel. CTD= Connective tissue disease.

I see rheum on th 13th. I'll see what he says. I should have DH take a pic when it happens.

I've had the face flushing since, well, a really long time. Time started years ago when I was at work one day. I'd get really hot and my face would flush. I just put it down to the darkroom getting hot. It has happened a few times when I've been in the doctor's office and he'll ask if it has happened before. When I tell him that it has been happening for years now, he just moves on and never says anything else about it. I would be very interested to hear what your doc has to say about it. Please let me know.

My face is usually pretty flushed but when I get hot or when my heart starts beating fast I turn bright red. No one knows why. Derm, ob/gyn/allergist. I wonder if it's connected to the P?

Are you sure that it isn't Lupus? Not trying to scare you, but I get the same thing and for a while they couldn't tell that I had Lupus, but I do. I also have psoriatic arthritis and eventhough my Lupus is suppressed right now it still shows up in my blood tests and my cheeks get all red and worked up.

Well, I have never had a positive ANA...and the "malar" lupus rash is supposed to go over the bridge of nose, mine does not. But I'm not 100% sure about anything! lol

What is an ANA? I don't have any other symptoms of lupus, I don't think.
