My son is seven and has shown signs of P. He has had a couple of plaques and I have put Protopic on them and they go away for a time. Nine and seven are too young to get this disease! I hate it...I just really do! It's not fair to kids these days especially.

Keep fighting it! Take care!!

I'm 47 also. Started with joint/muscle pains in 2003 (age 45). Finally got a diagnosis of PA in July 2004 after being taken off all meds including prednisone quickly which - you guessed it - caused a huge psoriasis outbreak. Derm did skin biospy, had never had P before, but that led to PA diagnosis.

Doctor can point to PA symtoms back to at least 2000 in my medical records with carpal tunnel type complaints, foot problems, etc. :(

I'm 52 and have had it for about a year and a half, but was only formally diagnosed December 26, 2005. (Thanks, Santa, very funny.)
I believe it was triggered by Lipitor, which I took for 3 months.

I'm 59 and was probably born with it as well. I remember having it in kindergarten, but Mom tells me I had "Ringworm" all the time from the time I was a baby. PA showed up in my early twentys. My Dad had Plaque and PPP when I was growing up and my Mom developed Plaque P in her Golden years. My Son is 34 and has severe plaque P. It showed up when he was twenty. He was dx'd with PA when he was 25. My daughter is 41 and has inverse P that showed up when she was twenty.

I had a large itchy patch on the back of my leg right below the knee joint....when I was 12...it stayed for a long time and when it finally left I had a large brown spot...now I know it was P...at the time I thought it was poison ivy (that lasted a year?) :p Then nothing til..........later years.

I'm 74 developed scalp P in my late sixties....it eventually went into p all over my body (except from the knees down) and not too much on my arms.

Thanks to allergy testing and Dr. Pagano's diet regimen. I've been in remission since 11/04. Had one outbreak from glyconutrients (allergy to them) but I'm clear again. After I went off of them.

DH also has P...both his parents had it....he has a mild case...(but he also broke out with P from head to toe from the glyconutrients) he is clear now too.
three grown children with 'NO SIGNS" of P!

Hi. I am 44 years old. I had my first sympton on my scalp 5 months ago in November. By December I had alot of flaking and dryness in my arms and hands. This is when I went to the DM. By January I had Ethrydermic Psoriasis from head to toe. Every day is something new to deal with, it moves from one area to another. It varies with severity of itching, swelling and stinging pain. Its bad not knowing what tommorow and the future holds....J5
