I’ve been away for several months, Last year I was on puva treatment and mtx for about six months, mtx did not help me but puva did, from 75% P coverage down to about 10 to 15% stopped in Nov/2005 cause the puva treatment stopped being effective and I was tired of going for treatments now my P is coming back about 35% coverage. Today I volunteered as a genie pig for a study trial for a new biologic drug treatment sponsored by Centocor they are the makers of Remicade.
It’s a 5 year study. They took my blood to test and in two days they have to do an x-ray to see if I could be a candidate, Hope all you nice people here are finding comfort in dealing with this &$#@* disease.

Hi Topop,

Thanks for volunteering to help yourself and others via clinical trial, I wish you all the best with it. I personally appreciate all of those who have gone before us doing this same thing. Clinicals. How else to we find out what works well without volunteers such as yourself. You're not alone, thankfully many people here have done the same thing, were in an exciting time for research and ultimately a cure ( fingers crossed ). Think of all the people that your helping!!

Please keep everyone updated as to how you are doing! and again THANKS!

Karen :)

ps Would it be the same trial as this?
