Just a quick question......does anyone here have psoriasis in areas where its hard for them to bend......like arms and legs for instance. Im not meaning that its dry and scaly.....flat but it almost seems like my skin is stretched out. Im sure people know what Im talking about but im having a hard time describing. Anyways if u know what im talking about...what do u do to help bend those muscles? I understand this is a disease im probably going to have to live with for the majority of my life, but its going to be alot easier if I can just move around without being in pain.....i dont have arthritis......so I dont see any reason to be moving around the way that i am now.......practically limping.

The kind of psoriasis that you're describing is called inverse psoriasis. (Here's a a link: http://www.psoriasis.org/about/psoriasis/inverse.php.) I have it on my underarms and you're right it can be very painful. To add insult to injury, it's sometimes gets infected. :( (I don't use deoderant for that reason.) My psoriasis is fairly mild, so I can keep it somewhat under control by alternating between Protopic and Desitin. (That's right the diaper rash cream.) I sometimes put moisturizer on it and that helps relieve the pain. When it gets infected, I use peroxide and Neosporin.
I hope this helps.
