Heather, my daughter has Fibromyalgia. She is 17 years old and has had it since she was 14. It is a challenge to stay feeling good, but not immpossible. Make sure you eat right, exercise, and get some good sleep.Try not to let a lot of stress in your life. You might want to try yoga. Please dont let it get you down.Get all the information you can about it.My daughter takes Elavil which helps her get a good nights sleep and helps with the pain. Hang in there and keep us posted.

Hi,

I also have fibro. I was just dx with it last spring. There are a number of exercises and swim thearpy in a warm water pool that truly helps it.

Hope things work out well for you. There also is a fibro support group in my area and it's very interesting to meet others with it and they offer help with this dx. Hope you might find one in your area.

Take care,

Sandy

Hi Heather,

Count me in too. :( And I'm still not sure what all that means. When you add it to PA and OA (osteoarthritis) - all I know is that everything just seems to hurt all the time. (lol)

I have found a couple of websites that have a lot of information on FMS. Here are the links:
http://www.holistic-online.com/Remedies/cfs/fib_home.htm
http://www.anapsid.org/cnd/index.html

Perhaps you'll find some of the information useful. There is a lot of good home therapy ideas for dealing and coping with FMS.

Good Luck - :)

Heather I also forgot to mention that her rhuemy sent her to physical threapy which helped a lot. She was able to learn different excercises to do even before she gets out of bed. It helps some. She still needs extra time in the morning to get up. Some days she ends up just staying in bed, especially when its cold, so stay as warm as you can. I hope it all works out for you.
