I have a question for any of you who have been diagnosed with fibromyalgia. I've recently been having a lot of "twitches" throughout my body, especially when I first lay down. They feel almost like an electrical shock, but aren't usually painful. My doctor thinks that this is related to the pain med I'm taking, Avinza, although it's not a listed side effect. I've read that this can be a symptom of fibro, and I'm curious if anyone else has experienced anything like this.

Hi Kim,

I was dx with fibro last spring but I don't recall having the symptoms you are meationing. Maybe some other have had it. There are a couple of really good web sites on fibro and I belong to one of them with message boards Let me know if you'd like the names of them.

My dx was with the pressure points throughout my body that the pressed on and could tell. I was dx with Dr. Ritchli, my rheumatologist that treats my pa and haveme on Humira. It's really interesting to read up on fibro---some of te things I didn't know about and there are so many differentt systoms.

Take care and hope you feel better,

Sandy

I just went to check on the site I mentioned and it's listed as: www.fibromyalgiasupport.com Hope it helps

Muscle twitching or spasms are part of it, I get them often. Do you have any of the other fibro symptoms? http://www.fmaware.org/fminfo/brochure.htm#symptoms

Hi again,

I went over to the message boards at the fibro site I mentioned and saw a thread about twitching with fibro too. They also discussed that it is part of fibo.

Good luck Kim,
