In NJ and lots of pain today!

I came to NJ to stay with my hubby who is pulling 14 hour shifts doing a special project for Conoco Phillips (refinery). They named him safety officer for four differnt lines of services so he has to be local. They put him up at a hotel, and I decided to come on Thursday. Weather was soooooooo beautiful Friday and Sat, I was on top of the world, didn't even need my cane!

Even went to JC to visit and spend the night sleeping at my mother's (she guilted me into a girls night-lol, you know...."I never see you, you live so far, Im old now...). Spent the night with Mom in Jerey City (very different for me now), then the next day I even managed to take her to see my sister who just had surgery in Bergen County. I was fine yesterday, but then EXTREMELY TIRED (no wonder after all the things I was able to do), so I decided to forgoe going back to PA yesterday.

BIG MISTAKE. No pain meds with me, and missed my MXT shot last night. Left knee is impossible to walk on , but then the whole left side is a mess right now-started with the left eye pain again-pressure behind the eye. I would have gone home last night but I don't see at all at night so driving would have been a lesson in space (lol).

I need my chair and my meds,and my stress tea. I can't wait till morning lol. See.....just when I think Im cheating the disease and having some fun feeling normal, it reminds me who is actually in control! Especially if I don't have my meds!!!!!!

my pain is mostly on the left side also, knee, finger, foot. do you have stiffness and limited range of motion in the left knee? I do.

what happened to your eye. do not neglect it if there is some problem. hope you get well soon.

Hope you get back home without incident and rest as long as you need to - rest and rest and rest. The chick flick idea sounds like a good one, Jillian! I did a similar thing last weekend - was feeling great - so went with a vanful of kids to Michigan (6-7 hours away), there one day, back the next, a lot of being outdoors...and four days of recuperation afterwards. Yeah, so I'm not so in control, either...still learning...

Born and raised. Mom lives on Bleecker Street (Heights section). I hung out around North Street park sometimes (in my much younger days lol). My sister lives in Ramsey, and the other in Wayne-both Bergen. Me......I evacuated lol. Area changed lots, really loud at night too. Saw 1 car chase even!

Home now(TG) feeling better. It's great to be home in my chair!!!!

It's just the illusion we have lol. The disease always lurks to remind us though, that's one constant w can always count on. So when I can steal from the disease Martha, I do it!!!!!

Yeah it was a real bummer yesterday-pain galore. Slept most of the day at the hotel-only woke for the Sopranos-then back to sleep. Weather was soooo great, Iwant to do it all over again lol. Came home to a beautifully cleaned house (my son and his girlfriend live with us) Wonder what they want lol???? I amblessed to have them t hough especially when I dont' feel good.

Mom lives in the heights section. I thought about you, but no number to call you at. Her neighborhood got really loud at night though lol. My husband's boss wants me to come back down on Friday and help him do more organizining of his files at the shop in Linden , so I think I will be back in JC to see MOM, after all you know it will be St. Paddy's day (her big day of the year-coming from a family of 16 Irishmen) lol.

That's about all I mustered up enough strength for lol. Hotel beds are note quite designed for us arthritic people you now, so I had tem bring up 6 xtra pillows,and I slept ontop of them lol.

My left knee was so bad it just would not bend at all. Could hardly stand on it, and painful when I did. This is usually controlled by my meds (MXT) but missed my shot, and Im alway almost (empty) toward the weekend, so I really should have known better, but ....I did have fun. Now Im home, taking my shot tonight (always at night to lessen the nausea). Sorry you have pain too.

My eye is still the same. I go for the vision field test on Thursday. We go from there. Eye dr didnot want to order an MRI until after the field test (I wasn't exactly comfortable with this, but whatever). Im definately not ignoring it believe me,Im terrified of it,and I want to get back on the Humira because I hear all good things about it. I only was able to take the one shot before the doc dc'd me.

Or them for that matter. I checked you out lol. Listen if I could meet a husband on the internet it's a given I can meet freinds and be safe, especially when Im in my own element of JC. Remember five of my cousins are either JC Police or State troopers lol. Im fine with it Mike really and so is my family. My hubby just want's me to get out and get with other people so I don't live alone with this because there's only so much he can do ya know?
