Since there are indications of a link between Strep. bacteria and Psoriasis, I wanted to get those of you who have been previously diagnosed with strep., and who have had lab tests, to post here what the full name of the bacteria is that you were diagnosed with.

There are a lot of varieties. I wanted to see if there is a common type somehow linked, or whether many different types are a possible threat.

Please post your results if you know them.

Thanx,

Steve

When I was seven I went to the doctor to have a chicken pox shot. My mom told the doctor I was sick and that it might be a bad idea but the doctor said not to worry. Days later we found out that I was getting a rash that would eventually turn into psoriasis. The interesting part was that my sickness that I had had was strep throat. I'm guessing there is some sort of streptococci infection/immune system link there in that the vaccine is linked the immune system which is linked with psoriasis which is linked with strep.

See ya, Dastangman

Condor,

Have you investigated dental health and strep infections? That is something I've wondered about. I think that the acid/alkaline thing really helps with keeping strep to a minimum, and keeping strep out of our teeth/gums.

Altho I didn't get P until much later in life, I had a strep infection when I was 5, that I reacted to and I got rheumatic fever back then. Luckily, the effects of the rhematic fever were not bad. I did get a small heart mumor out of it tho.

We just studied strep throat in pediatrics, and the most common type that causes a throat infection is group A beta-hemolytic streptococci (GABHS). I don't know if this is the one they link to p, and if it is the same one that occurs in adults as frequently as it occurs in children.
