Heres some good information from my brain today....

In the United States we have the right to put what we want in our bodies, that includes things that might or might not be regulated, legal, or bad for us.

In addition, our fine government does protect us with many agencies, national, state, and even local. The agencies respond to threats to the public health based upon solid evidence.

Once of these fine agencies learns of proof of significant provable damage to the community it reacts, examines, and tests the evidence to assure that our community, state, or country is safe.

If there is no evidence that a product is not safe for use or consumption then nothing happens to it....pretty simple.

As for abuse or those who go downtown to buy the Brooklyn Bridge, you are on your own. Our government guarantees the right to a solid education, thus we have the right to make our own choices when it comes to certain things in our lives, including what we eat and what medical treatment we seek.

Now, unlike someothers that may disagree, I have a lot of faith in all of you as individuals that you will be able to analyze some of the things that you consume, learn about them, and learn how they effect your own bodies.

Take your education, brains, and the bodies that you have been given and make the best of your world be it at the doctors office, in your kitchen, at GNC, or on a treadmill.

Never underestimate YOURSELF!

You are a wise man, Brad.

And they say Common Sense isn't so common these days! Shoot, Dierdre even said we were sophisticated!

Does anyone here ever wonder if the "amount of money on can aquire (aka greed)" comes into play with decisions regarding "regulation for the best interrest of the community".

Heres a good play on this with security or law enforcement. A few years ago I take my daughter to the arena for an ice skating show. I toss a couple of 20oz pepsis into the diaper bag so I don't have to pay like $4.00 for a bottle inside. So I get to the ticket security guy whos inspecting diaper bags for bombs and threats to national security. He digs through the diaper bags and discovers the real threat to the world, my 2 bottles of pop. Note, they are sealed and are the exact same bottle that they sell inside. The noble and proud $6hr security guard is euphoric that he has saved the world from another certain terrorist attack.

Personally, that search is more about money than anything else, and don't let anyone tell you otherwise. If a real terrorist wants to commit a big act, the $6hr security guy isn't going to be the one who finds the bomb in a diaper bag.

I think some drugs make certain markets and get packaged, labeled, and or distributed a certain way more for financial business advantages than for any other reason.

MORE SOLID EDUCATION AND LESS GOVERNMENT REGULATION

I hear ya Brad.

It is criminal that our citizens feel that they have to go to Canada to buy the same drugs for less than we sell them here...as ordained by our legislators and the pharmaceutical companies.

And our president even tells us that he can't be sure if Canadian drugs are as PURE...unless it is a year that flu shots are in short supply....then the Canadian meds are just fine.

It just seems that everyone has their hand in somebody else's pocket...except us towards the bottom of the pharmaceutical chain.

There is a BIG difference between making a living....and making a killing...in this life time.

I'm sure glad for people like U2's Bono...it makes the rest of us take a step back and think a little.
