Recently, my Dr. took me off Remicade since it wasn't working on either my P or my PA and put me on Raptiva & Humira simultaneously.

The Raptiva worked for the first 2 months, but for the past 3 weeks it seems like its stopped working and the P is coming back in all the places where it had dissapeared. Worse than that, my PA is back, worse than ever.

Has anyone else had any bad PA experiences with Raptiva?

Thanks for your input.

Hi Brian,

I'm sorry to hear that you're hurting. :(

Although severel people have reported doing very well with Raptiva, it's the one biologic that truly scares me. It's scares me for two reasons. First, because because people flare horribly when they have to stop using it for any reason. And second, because more then a few people have posted that they either came down with PA while taking Raptiva or that Raptiva worsened their existing PA. Most of them blame Raptiva. Although we'll never really know for sure, it appears that Raptiva may trigger PA in some people. Here's a link to some previous discussions: http://www.psoriasis.org/forum/showthread.php?t=18291.

I hope this helps.

Feel better!

Keep us posted.

Mike

I dont know if I experienced PA or just Arthritis but as soon as I went on raptiva i began hurting all over my body. I never had arthritis before that. I stopped taking it and no more pain. I do believe there are others on here as well who have had that happen while on Raptiva.

Its exactly what MikeK just said. Those two things happened to me........arthritis and then went off the medcine and had a horrible flare.....one I could not believe.

Luckly once i went off the pa was gone and the p has cleared up because of Humira.
