So far I have been on Enbrel for about 3 months and it has helped my PA pain tremendously. However, I have to have minor gyncological surgery in a couple of weeks and I know you have to stop the Enbrel. I worry about a relapse and how long until after surgery could I start the E again. Does anyone know? Yuck! I hate to have to have surgery, but oh well I guess I need it. Any encouragement or advice?

Good luck on your surgery!!
I have been off E since the end of March (in prep for trying to conceive in the fall) and I am only mild. Hope this helps!

I had 6 surgeries while on Enbrel and did not stop. I did not have any problems. The decision was made as a team with my Derm, Ortho and Enliven Services. Speak with your medical providers to make the decision that is best for you.

I just had my gall bladder removed this past June and my study Derm had me stop my Humira for 2 weeks after my surgery as a precaution.
No issues to speak of! :D
