Lord, knows what causes p but in the meantime folks, don't blame yourself!! If you need to lose weight or become more active do so because you want to be in better shape or health. Don't be so severe in what you do as to cause yourself harm with any fad diet or colon cleansing. Enjoy life!! Don't take it to the extreme, just do things in moderation. Keep supporting each other and this foundation and hope that we can find better treatment options and a cure one day. :)

You may not be aware of this,,,,,,,,,,,,,
In our newspaper today,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,
WASHINGTON -- If there is anything fishy about the booze you're drinking, check the label.
Proposed government rules unveiled Wednesday would require the labels on alcoholic beverages to list fish and any other common allergens included among their ingredients.
Other than wheat, the list of allergens that would trigger the labeling requirement are things one wouldn't typically expect to find in wine, distilled spirits or malt beverages such as beer and ale: fish, shellfish, milk, eggs, tree nuts, peanuts and soybeans.
However, the rules also apply to ingredients that contain proteins derived from the list of allergens, which are more commonly used. Fish protein, for instance, is often used to clarify wine or beer before bottling.
Producers, bottlers and importers already may voluntarily list any allergens, according to two notices published Wednesday in the Federal Register. The Treasury Department said it would accept comments through Sept. 25 before making the listing requirement mandatory.
The proposed rules parallel similar requirements for the labeling of allergens in food.

That's fine unless you develop an allery overnight,,,,and that can happen,,,,I ate some shrimp one time,,,,,,,I was fine,,,,,,the next time, about a week later,,,,I almost died!
I was never bothered by allergies until I was 50 yrs old,,,,,,,,, and they can and do change with time. Most of my allergies are chemicals in soaps, shampoos, detergents, etc,,,,,,,,getting rid of symptoms from allergies sure helps the itching.

Rich,,,,that's so funny, about Robin! That's what happened when I ate shrimp. I love shrimp and have always eaten it but never again. I also broke out in the worst case of hives, red all over from head to toe.
The itching drom allergies can make the p itch worse. That's one reason to get tested. Two kinds of itching is hard to deal with.

that smoking in moderation is a good idea! Its all over pubmed. have fun guys, light up and smoke some weed too, from what I understand it is legal in most states. Remember, all of your decisions in life are genetically based so just enjoy life and don't worry about any consequences of your own decisions because in the event you ever make one it is most likely just a genetic anomoly.

smoking or drinking in moderation is fine isn't it....sort of like taking the first hit of crack.
LOL, Look, we (the police) take people to the hosptal all the time. We don't want to but they need to go there and any hospital MD or RN should know this routine. Interesting thing is that it is uncommon for these people NOT to be under the influence of alcohol to some degree. Additionally, if they are not under the influence they are frequently the victim of an assault and guess what? The suspect is usually under the influence of alcohol.
For some reason, I don't know if pub med goes out on patrol, but all the crime has a common denomonator of alcohol and substance abuse.

Ton's of folks drink in moderation and are never assualted. That would include policemen. And I know plenty who smoke as well who have never done crack ( thank goodness! )
My grandmother who was never assaulted nor did she do crack, had 2 glasses of Port wine every day of her life and lived to be 98. :)
Now that I think of it, I didn't see eat, drink, be merry & SMOKE anything lol.
So, Eat, drink & be merry & Don't worry be happy. :) Many people do! Moderation is key to everything in life.
Life is for living, enjoy it and try not to stress!
Karen :)
p.s. One of the first songs that I taped of my daughter singing was " Bad Boys " it's one of DH's favorite shows!

Karen :) Excellent advice Karen! However, there are those that cannot and should not drink at all (For some reason the names Mel Gibson and Nick Nolte come to mind) The problem here is not with the drinking, but more so the inability to drink moderately. Alcoholism is a very real disease and those afflicted cannot afford to attempt even a moderate bit of merriment.
However, for the majority of us human folk, moderation is the key to almost everything.
Heck there are even some green liquids that are enjoyed by many each March 17! And no foul broccoli breath!
