Anyone out there in the Seattle area with PA? I'd love to talk to people in the area about the various drug treatments. I've had PA for about 5 years, and I think it's time for me to start on something.

I'm from Seattle and I'd love to chat with you about PA, but I can't help with the drugs. This area is a mecca for naturopaths, and thats the medical path I have chosen. And it has worked very well for my skin, but I'm still working on the arthritis.

I did find a link for a medical trial a while back, I'm fairly certain it was Enbrel. I think it was at Seattle Skin Center. You might wanna call those folks and ask around.

Just ask any question you like here on the forum about drugs...someone will answer, but they might not be from Seattle.

Shoot, the big conference just got done down in Portland. You could have gotten a real preview down there!

I'm in Kent, WA, but I don't know that I can be of much help.
I have P and PA, but I just started methotrexate three weeks ago. I've yet to experience any relief or side effects.
It's my first treatment attempt.
Send me a PM if I can be of any help.

Ken,

I'm in Bellevue, have been on Enbrel for about 8 months, and am contemplating a swtich to Remicade, as Enbrel has worked very well for my PA, but not so well for my skin (I have pustular on my hands and feet). I have an awesome rheumatologist at the Everett Clinic, if you're looking for a rec.

Hello. I'm in the Seattle area (actually this is the first time I've posted something to the board). Like Dulane I have gone the "natural route." I have PA and started with a rheumatologist, but then after deciding on not taking drugs have tried acupuncture, Chinese herbs, Ayurvedic medicine, and have been seeing a Naturopath for over a year. I took a food allergy test, found out I had food sensitivity (developed due to leaky gut) to foods I had been eating (vegetarian diet), have since eliminated many of those foods and stiffness I had in my feet and thumb immediately went down. I've used many creams (including Lush's Dream Cream) for psoriasis spots and have found the best results with Swedish Bitters Capsaicin cream (keeps the scaling down). It's an ongoing search. Good luck to you!

Hi....I live in the Seattle area and have some suggestions for PA and P treatments. I'm currently on Enbrel but have also used methotrexate. Check my profile for e-mail. I'd be glad to talk with you....perhaps I can help with treatment options.

I just answered a post by TrueBlue looking for a Rheumy in the Seattle Area. I lived in Renton, just Recently moved to Belfair on Hood Canal, but I still see my Drs. in Bellveue. I have an awesome Rheumy near Overlake Hosp. She is very helpful and open to alternative treatment as well as Biologics.

I'm up in Bellingham, no PA but have my fair share of P...

Nothing really to add I guess, just saying hi and welcome to the board!
