Hi All,

It has been a while since I have been on here ... been busy with life and of course P has followed :( ... however, I carry on!

I was browsing the web the other day, and I found this interesting video. It is a news segment from Ecuador TV on a doctor there who apparently has a product that "cures" P. The video is in Spanish, but even if you don't know the language, the visuals do a good job of telling the story also.

To summarize it in English, it is a news story on an Ecuadorean doctor who has improved on a handed-down soap and cream combination therapy called Euderma, now in existence for over 10 years. He has documented cases on file and has treated 300 patients, all successfully cleared of P. The segment also features an interview with a young mother who was treated by the doctor and cleared of lesions in a month. The doctor also states that the rest of the medical community has refused to accept his findings. According to the story, it costs "20 dollars" - Ecuador now uses the US Dollar equivalent so it would be the same cost for Americans or roughly $22 Canadian.

That begs the questions ... how can we get this stuff?? I did a basic Google and only came up with references to spotted bats (yes, the winged kind!) ... I'll be calling up my Ecuadorean contacts soon ...

Comments?? This should be an interesting thread ... :)

Interesting...the same photo of the boy in the video is used in Dr. Pagano's website for his book Healing Psoriasis: The Natural Alternative.
You can clearly see it's the same kid.
Check it out http://www.psoriasis-healing.com/
I guess two doctors in two different countries are taking credit for healing him. One thing's for sure, I'm glad I don't get it on my face like that kid. It's bad enough all over my arms, legs and torso.

I also recognized the picture from Pagano's website ... but in the news segment he's not claiming that kid to be one of his success stories. You can tell they are viewing the pic off a browser window. The dialogue suggests they are using the picture as an example of how severe P can be.

THANKS FOR THE WARM WELCOME!!
Rich - I doubt I could believe everybody's advice, since there seems to be so many treatments out there.
Here's a list I came up with while researching my form of P, which is guttate. My P came on as a result of taking anti-malarial medicine.

UVB therapy - Narrowband UVB (TL-01)

Systemic therapy - Cyclosporine (Remember, this list is specific for me and after research into this type of therapy I believe this drug would suit me best)

Essential oil therapy- For GLA (omega 6) - Evening Primrose Oil or Borage oil (aka starflower oil) For EPA (omega 3) - fish oil/oily fish (herring, sardines, salmon)

Slippery Elm Bark/ American Saffron tea therapy - slippery elm in the AM/midday (1 tsp per 10 oz hot H2O X2 daily) and the tea in the PM.

Dead Sea salts - doesn't heal, but helps scaling.

Aloe Vera - skin restoration
Milk Thistle - heals/assists liver
apple cider vinegar - brings the body to the proper Ph

Curumin
Quercetin - not sure about these. I believe they balance t-cells
Plus, other medicines treating nickel imbalance.

WHew, that's a lot of advice to stumble through, plus this cure from Ecuador!!

I have been suffering with P for about 2 yrs. I now have it from the neck down. I'm trying to find a natural cure. Recently, I began bathing in dead sea salts, once a day, using natural, organic aloe vera on my wet skin after bathing. Also, I began the essential oil therapy. I chose this therapy over the others because it is recommended on this site by the National P Foundation as an alternative treatment. Studies have actually been conducted using this type of therapy according to the NPF. I'm taking a little under the amount of fish oil used in the study. The study used 10 - 450 mg (EPA) capsules per day. I'm using 4 - 1000 mg per day. I'm also taking Evening Primrose oil - 4 - 1300mg or containing 130mg of GLA ea for a total GLA intake of 520mg per day. I read that high GLA intake helps fight the immune deficiency part of this disease. It helps get the t-cells back in order. Plus, Evening Primrose has many benefits for women, including treating PMS, fibroid cysts, and reducing the risk of breast cancer, so I chose the primrose over the borage oil, which also carries lots of GLA.

That's my treatment. I just started, so I'll keep everyone posted. Actually, I started the Dead Sea salts a few weeks ago and it definitely helps with the scaling, but does nothing for flare-ups.
I plan on sticking with the oils for at least 8 weeks. If I added anything, it would probably be the American saffron tea/slippery elm therapy.
Good luck to everyone in their search for a remedy, as far as buying more potions from Dr.'s, NO THANKS!
