Bad idea?

My Psoriasis is kind of not too bad lately. Its not really lesions anymore as it is just very dry patches of elephant like skin. I'm thinking of maybe doing something really crazy like getting a very small tattoo. Do you think it would be a bad idea with my skin?

If I was to get a tattoo, it would have to be something VERY significant. I ain't gonna just tat my body up with some crap I'm gonna regret a couple months down the road.

About the P. Out of the maybe 15 people I know with tats, half of them have had some kind of skin irritation/reaction. I could imagine what it would be like getting a tat with P. It doesn't sound like a good idea. I'm sure you thought the same thing, that's why you posted this. I think you know what could happen. Even if it's a special tattoo, you could very well give yourself a flare-up. And then what if your $300+ tattoo gets messed up from your P? It would look ugly, and you'd have to pay to get it fixed.

I hope you weren't thinking of something corny, like a butterfly on the ankle, or something else that's been beaten to the ground by pop culture. Don't even get me started on tribal tats.

Hey Susieq: I'd encourage you to search the boards. I know there are several threads with p-people posting about their experiences (um, overwhelmingly positive, I believe) with tattoos, including some pics.

Personally, I have several friends on the boards who've had no problems with 'em. ;)
