So i have guttate psoriasis.. a mild/moderate case... Im now on Broad Band UVB phtotherapy treatments and i am slowly clearing very slowly. So far it took one month to clear my bak and front part of my thighs. Everywhere else is still invaded by leisions. So my questions is once you have cleared your leisions its something calld maintanence. Now, does maintanence mean that you remain clear by exposore every week and never letting the leisions grow larger or become inflammatory? I mean staying clear forever (well not 4ever but something of that sort where u never let ur dots get bigger and kill it by exposure).

For lights it typicaly means doing fewer treatments.
I currently do 3 NB UVB a week. For maintiance I will do 1 or 2 a week.
Sometimes it can mean using topicals to keep clear.

Typicaly it is easirer to stay clear than to get clear, so maintance is just being able to cut back once you are clear.

For insatnce, my last derm liked to get people clear using Enbrel, then try to maintain clear using topicals. That only worked for a few months for me.

maintenace for some people can be once a week or for some even once a month.

I find if i don't go frequently, I burn

when talking about psoriasis. I don't think right now we can count on one treatment lasting 20 years in a row.

I think Doctors are supposed to plan in 2 year intervals when dealing with P. Rotating treatments every two years or so is common , but I think you can people do the lights for longer intervals switching the other methods.
