I have been off Enbrel about 6 weeks, many of you know we're trying to conceive. I am thinking of not going back on it after the baby. I worry about joint damage due to my PA. Is there something I can take to stop damage, like glucosamine? Anyone use this and see a difference in your PA?

This sounds like it's definitely a question best answered by your doctor. As we all know, it's important to treat pa to avoid any joint damage, but your choices will be limited while you're trying to conceive, pregnant, and nursing. Even supplements should be run by your doctor to assure their safety, and ensure you're doing all you can to protect your joints while off of Enbrel.

There are many studies regarding the benefits of glucasamine. Some support it and some don't. It's the same with patient results. Some find relief and some don't. With few side effects, I suppose it is worth the try. BUT, if you are trying to concieve consult your ob/gyn doc before using anything! Good Luck with your PA and your pending pregnancy.
