Their product is Skin Zinc and is expensive. It is zinc pyrithione and is available OTC for much less. I used it for a month and received no benefit at all. I returned what was left and did get a refund.

Hello,
Self-Worx is a company that makes DermaZinc. The tell you that the product contains zinc and no steroids. This product actually contains a very strong steroid. I have heard many people experience relief from this product, however, it carries the same risks that using any prescription steroid does.
I too, heard about this product on the radio. I bought into it and purchased it.I used it for 2 days before I had read what is really in it by doing some research on the net. I packed up the product and mailed it back.
Good luck for whatever you decide.

Note to self : If its to good to be true it most likely is. I hope you find someting that works well for you. Its also better to use the least amount of steroid just enought to bring it under control. Too much steroids is not a good thing.
Peace

I have been using Dermazinc with Clebetazol (?sp) for about three weeks - and I think I may be able to wear short-sleeves in the summer!! It has cleared up my scalp and legs as well as my elbows. I listened carefully to my doc (and my pharmacist) who told me to use it only until I cleared up and then as needed. So far so good - I don't understand why people are so afraid of this product.

Skin Zinc was no help at all. Dermarest Psoriasis Lotion is a help though.

It seems that they make a number of products. The OTC products do not have steroids, they also make "compounded products" by prescription that have Betamethasone Dipropionate in them. I'm sure there are cheaper OTC products with a main ingredient of zinc pyrithione available in any drugstore (it is an ingredient in Head and Shoulders shampoo, for example.) Also Betamethasone Dipropionate is one of the cheapest generic topicals available (I recall it is on the Walmart $5 generic list.) In other words, fancy ads and packaging for the same old stuff.

And renee, I suspect you are a plant as you have only posted 3 times and all about this product.
