Hi,
I've been gone for a while, but I really wanted to give my update and ask if anyone has any ideas for me. I had my MRI, cervical and thoracic spine. Ortho surgeon told me there was nothing wrong with my spine. He rechecked me and decided that I have fibromyalgia. Also tested me for rheumatoid factor. If that's not enough of a diagnosis, my thumb on my left hand is so sore and swollen. The joint close to the nail. Somedays I wonder if it will just blow off my hand. So now it's definatley pa too.
I've started massage therapy every 3 weeks. I've been taking magnesium/malic acid supplements too. My family docs says that I would probably benefit from acupunture. Does anyone have any experience with that for pain releif? Oh yeah, they gave me Feldine and skelaxin(muscle relaxers) which did absolutely no good. I would prefer natural releif to medication if at all possible. Also doc wanted to put me on anti-depressents, but I chose not to for me. Any thoughts or suggestions for me??
Thank you and God Bless,
Angie

Are you seeing a neurosurgeon? That solved much of my problems with my back. One epidural injection into my spine and I got off the table totally free of pain even my knees were pain free. Eventually I may need more but for now, I am amazed. Am seeing a rheumatologist for the knee problems and am taking Mobic (prescription drug) which helps with that provided that I stay on a low dose.

It is important to see a neurosurgeon before tangling with an orthopedic surgeon. Believe me I know, from bitter experience.
