PA & shark carthilage

I was beginning to have PA on a random basis. I started to take shark carthilage from GNC ( 2 to 3 tablets a day - 3 times a week ).

I was told it is good for the knee and ankle joints

It seems to work for a while.

Anybody with experience with Shark C.

I do not have any experience but would also like to know about it, I read in ahealth book it wass good for people with P. Sais shark cartilidge was a skin healer! I checked though and it was expensive to me, but worth it if it does anything!!

I am very familar with shark cartilage. Diagnosed in 1998 with Pustular Psoriasis: it works; however, I would go from one inflammatory response to another...lost hearing for 5 mos. April 2001 had a major flare-up all over torso, breasts like raw meat from fumigants in new clothing from my daughters shopping spree. My daughter who is Type 1 diabetic intro. me to incredible nutritional prods. In April 2001 I started using the nutritional prods, and soon after I discontinued using the shark cartilage. Over the past year (only) on nutritional products I've had 0 flare-ups and 0 out-breaks. I can eat foods I could not even look at before. I have incredible energy. Hi Bala,

I was a patient in the intitial shark cartilage clinical trials here in the US in the early '80's. I was working with a Dr. Michael Schinitsky from Ohio. He was working on a luekemia study, and deveolped an off shoot involving psoriasis patients.

I was using a topical form of the medication, produced in his lab. There were controls. I found the non-control medications to be very beneficial, but was experiencing a time in my life when the disease was advancing aggressively. Every time I got a control batch, I regressed very quickly.

I worked with him for over 24 months, and eventually could no longer tolerate the damage inflicted by the control products. You need to know that I was more than 75% during this period. And with a newborn.

The premis behind this therapy is quite valid. Sharks re-generate every part of their bodies. The DNA is unique. I found the therapy he gave to be very beneficial. However, it is my understanding that medication is still not available in the US.

The watered down versions approved by the FDA are nothing like what I was able to get during the trials.
