I just wanted to add to this too. Enbrel was very helpful in dealing with my insurance company. I was so happy to find out that my insurance would cover it, however when I arrived at the pharmacy to pick it up I found out my copay was $500.00 for a one months supply. This drug is very expensive so check your copays especially if your insurance covers only 50% of name brand drugs, like mine. Even after that Enbrel did some research to see if my state had any progams to help and to see if there was any other way to get their drug to me at less cost.The people on the other end of that number are very helpful, now they need to work on getting the cost down.KL

I am wondering if there is any possiblity of getting full coverage. $500.00 a month is not feasible for many of us.

Any details on methotrexate use?

WOW! $500 a month is not feasable at all! I am already paying over $300 a month for my insurance. My plan co-pay for meds states $20. I don't know if something that expensive can be excluded from the policy but maybe that will be how they can get around it. I was really hoping to be able to use it as the joints in my fingers are progressing on a downhill spiral really fast from the pa and the methatrexate (while helpful) is not really slowing it much.

There is a waiting list for this drug since they have had a shortage of supply since it has helped RA patients & was approved for RA first. They have done a bad job of predicting demand for the product. I have been on a waiting list for PA for 3 months already!
