Since joining the advocacy department, I have witnessed a small group of dedicated individuals in search of a cure for psoriasis and psoriatic arthritis blossom into a full-fledged nationwide grassroots movement. And now, with the introduction of the Psoriasis and Psoriatic Arthritis Research, Cure, and Care Act (H.R. 1188/S. 1459, also known as PPARCCA) in Congress, we are closer than ever before to putting into law critical steps toward a cure.
Thanks to this landmark legislation, our grassroots movement has reached a pivotal moment, and it is high time to give it a name. With this in mind, the National Psoriasis Foundation is pleased to announce the launch of the Psoriasis Action Network.
The Psoriasis Action Network allows us to join forces as a community to educate Congress and push for increased research funding. With Congress beginning to listen to our community, now more than ever we need people like you to give voice to a truth many families have known for generations—psoriasis is a serious disease that is passed on genetically and we need a cure.
To join the Psoriasis Action Network all you need is an e-mail address and the desire to make your voice heard. We provide everything you need to make communicating with congressional offices simple. It’s easy to take action, and it really does make a difference.
As a member of the Psoriasis Action Network, you will be connecting with thousands of others who are already working for a cure. Together, we can make a difference!
