This has nothing really to do with psoriasis but can be classed as complementary and alternative.
Yesterday something quite interesting happened to me and I would like to share it.
All afternoon I had the most horrendous headache. It started off quite mild but got worse and worse as the day went on, until it was literally throbbing.
I did not have any paracetamol and was not able to purchase any, so in utter desperation I tried something quite radical.
I visualised myself opening a packet of paracetamol, I visualised popping two out of the packet, I visualised the feeling of them in my hand, I visualised putting them in my mouth, I visualised the yucky taste of them in my mouth, I visualised pouring a glass of water, I visualised taking a sip of water to swallow each one and I visualised the pain subsiding over the next 30 minutes.
Lo and behold (I kid you not) I did the visualisation at 4.30PM and by 5.15PM the pain and headache was completely gone.
Now it could be a complete coincidence but then again it may not be! Given the untapped and unexplored power of the mind is quite amazing.
Has anyone else experienced anything like this before?
I will re-test it next time I have a headache.
