my name is tom.
I totally clear my p(no lesions), buy going TOTALLY VEGAN.
WORKS EVERYTIME, BUT I FALL OFF THE WAGON HEAPS(WHEAT AND DAIRY).
BUY VEGAN I MEAN MOSTLY FRUIT AND NUTS(NOT PEANUTS OR STONE FRUITS). I'M ALLERGIC TO NIGHTSHADE AND SIMILLAR VEGETABLES AS YOU PROBABLY WELL ARE.
IT WORKS IN ABOUT 2 WEEKS(TOTALLY CLEAR- NO LESIONS).
* NOTE YOU CAN EAT FRESH MEAT AFTER 2 WEEKS.
(BODY WILL ONLY HEAL IF STARVED OF PROTEIN).
TO STAY CLEAR YOU MUST AVOID ALL ALLERGENS(WHEAT AND DAIRY).
IF YOUR IN AUSTRALIA YOU CAN DRINK COOPERS BEER - NO PROBLEMS(NO PRESEVATIVES, NO ADDITIVES.) THE WHEAT IN IT DOESNT SEEM TO AFFECT YOU. (BUT NO OTHER BEERS OR ALCOHOLIC BEVERAGES ALLOWED- I'VE TESTED THEM ALL.)

TommyAus,
How do you keep from being constantly hungry when on a vegan diet? My DH and I tried it several years ago and found that we were always hungry.
I haven't found any foods that cause my P to flare. But I don't doubt that my P may improve if I stopped eating certain items (like nightshades, wheat, etc.). I don't drink alcohol, coffee or soda. I rarely eat poultry and hardly ever eat meat. I do eat a lot of fruits, veggies and nuts. I also eat sweets, but far less than I did a few months ago.
I'm hoping that Just Ducky shares that chocolate cake with me. :D :D :D

Welcome Tommy,
I've read that there is no scientific proof that diet has any effect on P, but I think it does. Especially breads, because they contain Gluten which is a preservative. You have a strong will power. I'm still searching for what will work for me.....as for that cake that Ducky mentioned, do ya'll have an extra fork? Yuummm........

ROFLOL. Ducky, you just crack me up. :D :D :D
Tom, I believe there is some truth in what you're saying. But, one must be truly dedicated to stick with a diet like you are pushing. I don't think that anyone would deny the fact that diet and exercise goes a long way in helping our overall health and well-being. But it takes a lot of will-power and determination to stick to any type of diet/exercise regimen.

I was just wondering how you came across the idea? Was it a detox kind of thing?

I have had this disease ever since I was born, for 25 years.
I have been through hell and back, testing upon retesting, all knowledge, drugs and food interactions I could learn about the human body. Obsurving people who don't get Psoriasis, asking them about their health problems, finding out about how some of their family members were inflicted by pain. Everything fits together, nothing I and others have come across has not connected in some way. We all get sick. (I mean everybody), if we don't eat straight from what mother nature and the gods gave us. The trees, plants, water and The earth.
Not from some cow, who's milk is for it's own offspring, not you.
Believe me when I say this - 'There is a god!'
( Who do u think gave me this information? I can tell you more, if you will only pay attention.)
How much pain do u wan't to feel?
If you cant change yourself, I can't help you !
It is not a "diet" as you may well read it.
It makes you feel great.
It is what humans are meant to be eating.
1.You have to detox all the time, not just when you feel like it.
2.Your body cant do it for u, it is only a machine that produces energy.
3.If you feed it dirty fuel, then you'll get sluggish energy and mind processes.
4.If you dont take out the trash, it's gonna start to stink and clog where you live, and your life. You live in your body dont you?
Psoriasis is just the dirty waste being shown before your eyes, and warning you of danger.(Think of yourself as lucky, your bodys only trying to help you.)

Congratulations on your healing, Tommy! Looks like you found the secret to your success.
I'm not sure about the lack of science showing the relationship between our diet and psoriasis, but there have been enough of us on here spouting our own truths about it. I think the science isn't done because there is no money to be made from telling people they can cure themselves. Magic pills don't cure, but they sure make a profit!
I find that I need the odd bit of meat to feel strong, usually fish, and organically raised turkey or chicken. I don't eat much of it, just maybe once every week or so. I eat a bit of cheese and eggs now and then, but most of my protein is in the form of a powder that I add to drinks, and beans. My psoriasis showed big improvement when I stopped the steroid drugs and stopped the processed food and sugar.
I have been free of psoriasis for a couple of years. When I eat sugar, for example, it comes back. I don't need any more proof than that.
When the great champion Cassius Clay found religion and became Mohammed Ali, he became vegetarian (not sure if he was vegan though) for religious reasons. He trained and fought on this diet.

That's wonderful Tommy. If only everyone could have so much willpower. The food supply today is killing everyone. Anyone that thinks the food they are eating cannot make their psoriasis worse is only fooling themselves. Nice post.

Forget what i said about the Coopers beer, must have just been lucky on that occasion, when i drank it last night i had spots in the morning.
Alcohol is bad news, full stop!
Avoid fat.(all)
- Iv'e got to lose weight myself after being such big meat eater for so long.
Avoid all Nuts aswell, I started reacting to Pistachios.
(most/all nuts are seeds anyway, humans can't digest the poisons inside them.)
Sorry.

Having just started a raw vegan diet, I would have to totally agree with you.
As you say, it is hard (but worth it in so many other ways)

Mmmm don't I know it. I seem to be grazing all day. Hoping that when my body gets use to vegan (and my tummy shrinks!) my appetite will reduce.
p.s. I have got some great raw vegan chocolate cake recipes, so at least I won't miss out on that little treat.
